Lagavulin’s 2017 release is 16 years old & has been double matured in Moscatel Wood. Each cask was hand selected by Iain Mac Arthur. Sold exclusively at Lagavulin distillery each limited bottle is individually numbered & only 6000 were made. Nose: Orchard fruits with white pepper note, pecans with earthy digestive biscuit base, mossy peat, pudding wine grapes & sultana Palate: Pepper, lime, more ripe orchard fruits & sweet wine. Waxy citrus & some spicy. A little smoke! Finish: Pepper again, with toffee! Long & smooth finish!
