The second release of 21 year old single malt from Littlemill, a Lowland distillery with a long history. It was founded in 1772, but it was sadly closed in the early 1990s & demolished in the 2000s. A lovely presentation of whisky from the departed distillery, this time bottled at 47% ABV (the previous 21 year old from the distillery was bottled at 46%). 4, 600 bottles were produced
- sadly not too much left from Littlemill. Nose: honeyed & silky with lots of cream; fresh fruits ranging from apples & pears to honeydew melon & more exotic tropical fruits; vanilla & chocolate sauce drizzled over berry fruits; floral with soft oak & crushed mint leaf. Palate: Fresh cream, more vanilla-white chocolate & floral top notes; crushed mint leaves & toasty oak with malt & emerging fruits: Finish: Long coating & creamy this is a very fine & delicate older-American oak matured whisky.
