Loch Dhu is the Whisky equivalent of Marmite! Very controversial dram, & one that we love! Distilled at Mannochmore & bottled in the year 2000, the whisky gets its blacker than black colour from the use of double-charred casks
- whilst the name Loch Dhu translates to Black Lake from Gaelic. Def. one to try!! Nose: Burnt treacle, flat cola, soy sauce, over ripe banana, liquorice. Palate: More flat cola, burnt sugar, soy sauce & aniseed. Finish: Syrupy & sweet with coffee grinds, cola & treacle toffee.
